Durag Festival presents March Madness, an electrifying event aimed at discovering and showcasing local talent. This bracket-style music competition offers aspiring artists the chance to perform on the Durag Festival stage.
WHO CAN APPLY
The contest is open to local artists passionate about music and eager to share their talent. If you're dedicated to your craft and ready to make an impact, this contest is for you.
HOW TO ENTER
To enter, simply post a video on Instagram rapping over the beat selected by Durag Festival, using the hashtag #DuragFestMarchMadness. The beat is available for direct download or via YouTube. Submissions are accepted from March 5 through March 12, 2024 11:59pm EST. By submitting your video to be entered into the contest you acknowledge and agree to the contest Terms and Conditions.
RULES
- Artists submitting must freestyle or perform lyrics that are their own original work.
- All submissions must be a video posted to Instagram with hashtag #DuragFestMarchMadness to be entered and considered.
- Selected finalists must commit to participating in the live event, projected date March 23, in order to qualify for the final round.
WINNER RECEIVES
The winner of the contest will receive:
1. A performance slot on the Durag Festival stage (June 22).
2. A 4-hour studio session at Grindhaus Studios, courtesy of Grindhaus Studios.
3. A photoshoot with South Vizions, courtesy of South Vizions.
KEY DATES
- March 5 - March 12: Submission period for contest entries.
- March 14: Announcement of the 16 finalists selected by the Durag Fest team.
- March 15 - March 23: Public voting on social media to determine the top 8 finalists.
- TBD: Live event featuring the top 8 finalists, where the winner will be selected.
